Recommended Posts

Guys, I've bought Depo silver crystal clear rear light housing replacements and I need to know where to buy a red fog lamp bulb and new bright amber indicator bulbs, can I go LED without too much bother? :) Any advice greatly appreciated :)

the fog light u get off of ebay. its an LED one. very bright.

the indicator lamps i would get Phillips Silver vision. they are better than the silvatec one that are found in halfrauds. they are quite pricey tho. and not that easy to come by. try auto bulbs direct.com. they are usually very good.

if i can find the links i'll post them up a bit later

Cheers Mark,

Red one ordered, I'll have to hunt around for the indicator bulbs, Autobulbs are out of stock as kindly reported by Mike. When the I've got the bulbs and I take the old ones out you, my friend have 1st Dibs ;)

Thanks again. Graham  (This Forum is the double dogs doo dahs!)

Has anyone tried putting LEDs in for the rear indicator bulbs? I'm aware they have lower resistance so would flash faster, but has someone found a way around it yet? Would be good if they could match the main LED light cluster.

LEDs dont look as good as silver indicator bulbs as you can see the LED themselves and whatever they are mounted too. If you get good LED bulbs they should have resistors to compensate for the lowered resistance of LEDs.

I personally am not a fan of the silver bulbs, never have been and probably never will. My old S3 had them in the front and I swapped them for the originals!

These 'good LED bulbs' you speak of, where may one find them?

Thanks for your help Chris, I tried JDM yesterday they don't have them in stock currently

I forget the site the guys in the States mention, let me see if I can find it
