Roads to come?

Following the recent bad weather, the thaw has exposed some new and unwelcome potholes around here which I'm pretty sure will be low on the list of the ConDems priorities.

Because the Zed rides like it has no suspension, I normally baby it over rough roads. With even more potholes to contend with I'm bound to have an even longer queue of irritated Micra, Escort, Punto, etc. drivers tailgating me.

Question: Is the Zed suspension more robust than I give it credit for?

The Z rides like it has no suspension? Are you driving the same car as me hah?

The ride is quite soft and rolls quite a bit for a sports car, guess you've never driven a car with reasonable spring rates on coilovers before

One of the only issues I have with the stock Z is the fairly soft suspension

The Zed's suspension is amazingly forgiving. Very comfortable. With that said if you hit a pothole your suspension won't save you and your tyre will cop it. I've seen after the thaw the roads are in a terrible state, they didn't need much help in the first place but running 40 profile tyres on the shed was not a bright idea especially considering they're 18s.

Well, if a car with "reasonable spring rates and coilovers" rode any rougher than mine, I'd run a mile from it. Better check it out and remove any potential offending items.

Well it shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as your making out. On even the roughest roads round here it is still really smooth compared to most performance orientated cars.

What tyres are you running?
