narcotix Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Hey all, I've not driven the Zed over the weekend as the roads were pretty bad around my area but I need it for work tomorrow so I thought I'd warm her up a little tonight... I noticed that the washer jets are sitting slightly out at the moment ... I didn't want to try them as they could be frozen and it could damamge them ... Is it likely that they are just frozen in this position as the water in the pipes is frozen? Quote
Vik54 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Don't try them at all - wait for the thaw and see if they're just iced up - remember ice has more volume than water Quote
Neilp Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 mines done this a while back, probs grit stuck behind them, get some wd40 on them and play with them in and out....... they will free up Quote
Zugara Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 play with them in and out....... they will free up You should be able to pull them out gently by hand. Then shot of wd40 Quote

I'm not going to use them anyway ... Think I'll check them once I get to work tomorrow .. the 1 hour commute might warm up the pipes a bit ... Quote

Chris`I Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Yup, they be frozen. Leave them to thaw out or put a few wartering cans of warm water over them Quote
rog518 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Yep +1 on them being frozen. mine did the same this morn. I did try them and they didnt work so left them and tried again on the way home after a while of driving and worked fine and are now safely shut Quote
