Hi Guys,

I was wodnering if anyone has had there headlight ballast re-wired (wired back in again), and did this along with the appropriate buld give you better illumination?

Currently my car is in the SVA ballast by-pass mode and the low beam is awful.

Cheers

Depending on how the company undid the ballast and bulb set up you may need hid bulbs as they probably would have put halogen ones in

Do you still have the power packs or have they removed them ?

I have some in stock if you need them

I doubt the halogen bulb could take the extra power that the powerpack will give it. Could always try but I've never heard of anyone doing it that way. Best to buy some hid bulbs and do it properly

the lamps work in 2 totally different ways, the xenon hid lamp works with an arc(like lightning) hence the need for the ballast... the normal lamp is a filament lamp which lights due to resistance. The ballast will probs blow the lamp to bits as the current rating on the hid is very low but the voltage very high
