when you "bake" the light its loosens up all of the glue. this means u have to pull apart the light cluster. there will be glue residue everywhere.

 

once you have separated the lens and the back, there is a red lens that has to be removed. this is a pain really.

 

then you should have a clear lens unit.

 

once back on the car install a LED red lamp that i got from Ebay. you can usually only buy them in pairs.

Haven’t noticed this little project before, :blush: which looks great by the way. What do you do once the unit is opened? Is there a red internal reflector you have to remove, then replace it with a red led ? and how do you reseal the unit again once finished??

Sorry to be a pain but Id like to have a go at this one.

 

Once you've pulled out the red reflector the glue should still be sticky, simply push it all back together.

I then ran some clear silicone round it all just to be sure.

 

Get it done, it looks so much better. :thumbs:
