Plate for top of gear knob

The prev owner of my car obviously wore a ring, the plate with the gear pattern is very scratched and worn away. Anyone got any solutions for replacement without replacing the whole part? Its in good condition and would rather avoid. Maybe something metal to stick to the top of it?

looked into this myself. there is nothing that u can buy to replace this. i looked at getting something made and sticking it in there, but they all looked crap.

just get a new knob. i did in the end.

also try some autosol. on the pattern, took a while to polish but it did look much better.

Get a new after market knob. make sure its a heavy one as well. improves the feeling of the gear change by a lot ;)

I have one brand new Nismo GT Titanium available which is the "heavy" one that Greekman is referring to or I have a preowned stock one which is showing absolutely no wear or tear whatsoever.

Drop me a PM if I can help you further.

Thats what i am talking about tho. true!

Plus you get a nismo plate as well for the original one. bonus!

take extra care when screwing the knew knob. there is guide here somewhere.

After using an aftermarket knob, I could never go back to the OEM one
