narcotix Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 While driving to work today I drove over something (not sure what exactly) ... What ever it was it caused an almighty bang on the drivers side front wheel ... I quickly parked up and checked for any obvious signs of damage ... but there are none ... The car is driving straight and there doesn't seem to be any problems as a result of this ... so i was just wondering what damage could have been caused that is not apparent ... Thanks Quote
fakeindian Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 it means your alloys are now screwed and you need to buy some nice new shiny ones Quote
rtbiscuit Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 you might have torn a hole in space and time that might lead to a cataclysmic event and the apocalypse of the world as we know it. most likely what ev er you drove over bounced up and smacked the floor pan of the car. its fairly robust under there. and noises sound worse than they actually are. elfman Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 you might have torn a hole in space and time that might lead to a cataclysmic event and the apocalypse of the world as we know it. Not again i've jsut gotten over the last time that happened.... Quote
M13KYF Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 bent wheel. Take it for a spin on the motorway to see if you get and vibrations just like you get when the wheel is unbalanced Quote
nixy Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Its quite scary when that happens but more than likely something flew up off the road and belted the underneath of your car. Quote
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Whats the worst that could happen ???? You have not seen her from the waist down Quote
narcotix Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 I've been driving it today and all seems to be ok ... I'm still not exactly sure what it was that i drove over ... but it could have been a brick ... Well it looked like a brick when I was looking in my rear view mirror ... Quote
narcotix Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Yep .. that's what it looked it I'm hoping that it's not caused any major damage ... so far I haven't had any issues since it happened ... Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Hiran, give me a call on Saturday if you want to put it on the ramp, so we can have a look under your Zed… Quote
Chris`I Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I'd take Mitz up on that offer mate, only takes 5mins to stick her in the air to be sure nothing has gone wrong Quote
geoff-r Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 What were you looking at if you didn't spot a brick on the road? Around here you won't get away with that, you'll hit some monstorous potholes otherwise! Quote
narcotix Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Thanks for the offer Mitz, I might come down to yours at some point on Saturday if you don't mind ... I was really annoyed with myself because usually I'm very careful with potholes and objects in the road etc ... I think it was a little too close to the car in front and it just seemed to come out of nowhere ... Quote
