Hi folks - I've been looking around and I cant seem to find out how loud the Invidia N1 exhaust is? basically I want to know will the car pass MOT and will I get stopped by the police if it have it on?

There is no noise limit for an MOT & aslong as you don't have decats fitted you will pas an MOT fine My car is retarded loud & I've never been stopped by the police

as above should be fine , looks pretty simalar desing to the K1 and plenty of others so loud but certainly not going to be a problem.

depends on year of car but all Z will be way after the cat ruel came in but yes it is pos to get through emission wiht out a cat but its till meant to be there.

wow thanks for the quick reply guys! sadly i havnt got my Z yet (hopfully soon test driving my 3rd one this weekend) but once i heard a few N1 vids on youtube I was sold! thanks for the info!

All cars after a certain year have to have catalysts fitted I believe. MOT emissions checks may not pick up they have been removed or it may ahem.. pass at certain garages...... not sure what VOSA do when they check.

1994 was when cat's became compulsory but its measured on emmissions so unless they actually get under your car they aren't going to know.

might be, all i remember is that me and my mate both had the same car mine was a 91 reg and his was a 94, mine could have de cats his couldn't

In the MOT the car is raised to do various checks. They might well notice.....

 

 

Oh and I think it was 92.

either get a "freindly" Mot tester or just change the cats before MOT time.
