my boot wont open

I tried to open my boot tonight but it werent having it, both doors open but not the boot, no idea why

 

any ideas??

i've found the the latest bout of cold weather has caused mine to stick a little. it will open a little, but occasionally the release button needs to be pressed again while opening.

 

damn cold weather. when will it end!

Have you tried the emergency release under the strut bar?

Use the secondary rear hatch release which is located eccentric(towards passenger side) on the underside of the rear strut brace to open.

You can investigate from there once its open

it might be that the boot struts dont have enough pressure and it might take a little pull up while pressing the button?

Mine takes 2 or 3 goes when cold and never less than 2 when warm

I found out why.

 

When i took the bumper off on the weekend, i forgot to connect the 4 pin switch just behind the lack trim above the number plate.

 

DOH!!!!

 

Took me 48 hours to realise
