Hi

I recently bought a 2006 350z and was told by the showroom that it was fine to use standard unleaded petrol.

Before purchasing the car i read otherwise and so have since been buying the hi-octane shell optimax etc - Will i potentially harm the engine if i use the standard petrol or will i just suffer a slight drop in horsepower?

i just saw that if you dont use high octaine you lose about 15ps, so if anyone knows what that is in horsepower please let me know

i think its about 20 bhp its a guesstimate as i cna't be arsed to go on google and use one of the online converters for you

Not sure about the Jet but when I had the Nismo ecu in I used a lot of different brands. The Nismo needed over 99 in theory. They all worked well apart from 1. I put BP ultimate in it onece and just about managed to keep the car running until I could refill with Shell.

It was a real bag of spanners.
