whitey Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Hello, I have a black 350z and I'm thinking about having the mirrors sprayed silver as I like the look of the silver mirrors on Audi's and Alfa's etc. Does anyone know the exact colour of the 350z's door handles? Also, are the door handles on a silver 350z near enother the same colour as the bodywork? It might be a safer bet to spray them a genuine colour then i could sell them if I didn't like them. Cheers Quote
Husky Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 i think the door handles are lighter than my blade... hmm i'll check Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Yeh they are lighter, not sure what paint code. Prob best to get both done at the same time so they match? Quote

whitey Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 Thanks for the info, Has anyone seen a dark coloured Z with silver mirrors? Just wondered if it looked ok. I've messed around with some pictures on Photoshop and it looked great to me. I think the door handles are the same colour as the alloy wheels so if i could find a paint code for these then i would do them that colour. Quote
MattG Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I don't think you'll get a paint code for it to be honest. I bet that new door handles come painted from the factory. I think you're best to just pick a silver you like and go with that. My vote would be whatever the is used on the new Mercs, they know how to do a good silver. Or alternatively go with something from Audi's extensive range of colours: Quote

Dene8 Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 @ ^^^ Personally think silver mirrors and matching handles will look hella bad on a black car!! Never been a fan of the Audi's that sport this look Just my opinion tho' Quote
Harman350z Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 It would look good mate... p.s. why does he keep saying hella? Quote

whitey Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 Well I plucked up the courage to have the mirrors sprayed, here's the result: Let me know what you think and any opinions cause I've always got the option of having them sprayed black again for free! Quote
Dene8 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Looks like you've got mirrors off of a blade IMO that are waiting to be painted the right colour....... Sure they'll be plenty of people out there who like it though........ Quote
captain Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Let me know what you think and any opinions OK - your girlfriend looks a bit ruff. Quote

350 giZ Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I totally agree with you on liking the Audi's, Alfa's, and so on, for their side mirror colours. I, too, still think of changing mine to black. And, I think that it looks good on your Zed. Your call. Unless all the criticism has made you change back to black? Quote
Ian Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Let me know what you think and any opinions OK - your girlfriend looks a bit ruff. Don't like it sorry, reminds me of tacky saxos with chrome m3 mirrors Quote
