Sarnie Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 THIS EXHAUST IS BELEIVED TO BE ONE OF ONLY 5 SUCH SYSTEMS MADE FOR NISSAN'S OWN RACE CARS IN 2006 AND CAME TO ME DIRECTLY FROM NISSAN GB BACK IN MID 2007. IT IS NOT TECHNICALLY ROAD LEGAL, AS IT WAS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR TRACK USE IN A PARTICULAR RACE SERIES AND THEREFORE IS NOT TYPE APPROVED, OR SO I AM LED TO BELIEVE BY THE GUYS AT NISSAN GB. wtf Quote

M13KYF Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Says it believed to be titanium. Looks dark enough but never heard of them. Quote
Husky Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 have confidence in your seller due to his sensible name drift-ace-uk there is allot of "believed to be" in that ad, doesn't inspire confidence Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 He lives just down the road from me, maybe I should have a look.... but I wouldnt know what im looking at! Quote
M13KYF Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 He lives just down the road from me, maybe I should have a look.... but I wouldnt know what im looking at! you could always try a magnet on the 'titanium' section, it will proove it one way or another Quote
Ebized Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 No bloody titanium about it - its a straight forward Nismo, having got on close working terms recently with the exhaust off my 350. Quote
cookiemonster Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Got to say it looks exactly the same as mine, still might be worth asking Nissan about it if your interested. Quote
yokomo Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 either way the buy now price seems pretty fair for a nismo. Quote
janz70 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 bog standard nismo by the looks shame its so far south or Id have it Quote
Jmbcar33 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 It's easy to check what this exhaust is. Just type in the part number which he has handily taken a picture of (4th pic) into Google and hey presto... Nismo part number 20100-RSZ35 = bog standard Nismo stainless steel cat back system. No titanium about it, so his little story here is bollox: THIS EXHAUST IS BELEIVED TO BE ONE OF ONLY 5 SUCH SYSTEMS MADE FOR NISSAN'S OWN RACE CARS IN 2006 AND CAME TO ME DIRECTLY FROM NISSAN GB BACK IN MID 2007. IT IS NOT TECHNICALLY ROAD LEGAL, AS IT WAS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR TRACK USE IN A PARTICULAR RACE SERIES AND THEREFORE IS NOT TYPE APPROVED, OR SO I AM LED TO BELIEVE BY THE GUYS AT NISSAN GB. So I sent him this: "Hi, I thought I should inform you that this exhaust is not Titanium. The part number shown in your pictures is 20100-RSZ35, which is a normal Nismo stainless steel cat back exhaust, which is readily available to order brand new for $1000USD or £600GBP. Hope this helps, wouldn't want you to mis-sell this exhaust as something that it clearly is not. If you want proof then check it out here: http://www.thenissanpartsstore.com/Page ... 2&prodId=2" Interesting to see if he now changes his listing... Quote
rtbiscuit Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 i'd be impressed if you got a new nismo for £600 maybe peter mandleson is selling it, similiar spin doctor style. or is it the stig? some say he has 3 testicals and jump a house in one bound, others say he's full of crap trying to improve the sale of his exhaust. all we know is he's the stig! Jmbcar33 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I got mine brand new for £600! OK, so I imported it from the States just over a year ago when the USD was 2:1, but still, brand new for £600. Quote
janz70 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 including postage and I presume you escaped cutoms charges Quote
rtbiscuit Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 these days its closer to £1200 for one Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 including postage and I presume you escaped cutoms charges Maybe he smuggled it in, mind you one cough and it would have blown his cover.... Quote
