Anubis Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Nice. Looks all warm and fuzzy...like in miami or something at night. Quote
captain Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Good work Husky. If you have a spare flash or other light source you ought to do some light painting. Not the squiggly stuff from the TalkTalk advert but proper light painting to "fill" some of the shadows during the 30 second exposure. Works brilliantly on long shots. Quote

Stew Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 How do you get a 30s exposure? I have a Lumix P&S and was looking earlier. I'm a camera idiot though! Quote

I thought the atmosphere they create was a bit reminiscent of the "Hotel California" album cover. I was also thinking about trying the light painting idea - read an article about it in Photo Plus magazine this month. Quote
zedwagon Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 they look good! i thought it was Narnia with that lamp post!! Quote
stanski Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Very nice pics there Mr Dawg - I thought it was somewhere hot Miami like too ! Gotta love that polution!! Well framed shots - I like the spikey plant adds a bit of interest! (stew you can probably do a Bulb - manual mode shot - then keep it open for 30 seconds although I dont know that specific camera?) Husky Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 annoyingly dont have individual control over each aspect of the picture. However it does have a starry sky mode and the ability to change the exposure slightly Quote
