DoogyRev Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 If I was going to get some new wheels and just happened to be looking at 10.5 at the rear, and 9.5 at the front in a 19" flavour what would the ideal offsets and tyre size's be? been looking around and just confusing myself Quote
Ian Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Offsets between 12-22. Tyre sizes 245/35/19 & 275/35/19 Quote
clarkie34 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Agree with Ian.Running +23 front +22 rear with the tyre sizes mentioned. Quote
DoogyRev Posted December 23, 2009 Author Posted December 23, 2009 Hi Ian, Thanks for the reply, sorry for being a total thicky there are some things I get, but offsets seem to be a mystery at the moment. All I have read has just become a blur. Between 12-22...... does that mean they will fit straight on my Zed or will I need spacers................ feel free to me.. LOL Quote
Ian Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 If you get offsets between +12 & +22 then they will fit perfectly Mine are a +22 If I was buying again tough then I'd be looking for an offset less than 15 Quote

Ian Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 The lower the offset the further OUT they sit, The higher the offset the further IN they sit. Bulletmagnet posted a good diagram explaining it a few weeks ago Edit: Here it is Quote
BulletMagnet Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 This one? My Volks have a +28 offset on the front and +23 off set on the rear Quote
Sarnie Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 The lower the offset the further OUT they sit, The higher the offset the further IN they sit. Bulletmagnet posted a good diagram explaining it a few weeks ago Edit: Here it is I understand offsets but for some reason I can't get my head around that diagram Quote

Bulletmagnet posted a good diagram explaining it a few weeks ago Edit: Here it is I understand offsets but for some reason I can't get my head around that diagram That's because it doesn't reference the edge of the wheel arch which is what you need to see to have an idea of how far inside it the wheel will sit.
