Dblock Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I know the engine block table is very very cliche but I really want to do one. The one on ebay is 450pounds so I want to make my own. So I need an engine block get it shot blasted and maybe powder coated. I would also like other things like alloy wheels side tables. I think I will go to college for a short course in welding. Basically I need a project to keep me occupied. So any advice on where to get an engine? Welding advice? eqipment advice? Also I have no mechanical knowledge Quote

jamesyj Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I'd love to do the same for the future house. I think I'd scour ebay. The only tricky thing, I'd quite like a 'famous' engine. Like a Rover 3.5 V8, or an RB26 or something along those lines. Just something where the block is quite interesting too. Quote
