Mark@blueboys Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Hi, im sorry for going over old ground but i have just got my 350z and its in need of its service, im going to go to opie oils but am unsure what oil to use i have been told 5W40 or 5W30, surely only one is best suited to the engine? please advise, my car has done 50000 miles, if that makes any difference? Thanks! Quote
Zednick666 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Just got mine from Opie and you'll bag a nice 10% discount for being a member here... I'd go for the Silkolene Pro S 5w40, good high performance engine oil Quote
rtbiscuit Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 either viscosity will be fine. i went with 5w30 although i have royal purple race oil. opie are good and so is the silkolene. best get it now before the prices go up. Quote
Beavis Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 5w30 is what Nissan recommend. I use the Amsoil fully synthetic also from Opie Quote
JoshC Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Sorry to cover old ground over and over again but just want to make sure, mine is due an oil change (93k) and I've seen a very good offer on Castrol GTX in Asda. What grades are reccomended as I've seen people suggest 5W 30 and 10w 40. Also, I'm guessing part synthetic? Quote
