  1. i dont think it would show up on a recording, yes the noise is more of a 'clunk' when changing gear thinking about it. its the rattle thats a bit anoying when showing people your nice new car, and they say oooo what was that rattle noise? im like shut up! lol
  2. Hi, just got my Z and have noticed that every time i turn the engine off, just as it stops theres a slight rattle noise from under the car, i know its comming from the gearbox, and it dosent do it if i stop the engine with my foot on the clutch. Also if i have the window down i think the gears sound a bit rattley when changing from 1st to 2nd at slow speed, apart from the noises the gears feel perfect and the oil is cleen, just wondering if this is just a characteristic of the car?? and has anybody got the same noise? Cheers!
  3. Just to clarifly i agree with sunset350z, its a scam, its too cheap and she wont give you the reg number or chassi number... however eBay DO use Escrow, in fact they recommend it for high value items! but it must be eBay's approved escrow service (www.escrow.com), she will probably want to use a different, fake escrow service.... thats the scam. Its 'Western Union' and 'MoneyGram' that you should NEVER use on ebay. check out this link for more info: http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... ing=escrow
  4. Simple way to find out is ask how they want paying, if its moneygram or somthing like that then walk away, also ask if you can see the car... would you be collecting it? But at the end of the day 3.5K sounds well cheap for the car so if theres no reason for it to be that cheap then yes, its a scam. A friend of mine sent 3k via moneygram to buy a car from a private sale three years ago.... he's still wating for the car.
  5. Hi, Just insured my 2003 Z Gt, Im 22, dont have any NCB, im a mechanic (aparenty thats bad). i got insured by admiral for £900 Fully comp! I was very happy with that quote as most quotes were from £2000 - £6000!
  6. Thanks for your answers! Im not realy bothered too much about MPG, just wondered if the guy who sold it to me was talking crap and if my car was burning more fuel that it should, but it seems its in line with all yours Also i dont want it drinking more than it should as im taking it on a road trip next year down to the south of france, monaco, italy, up to the 'best driving road in the world' stelvio pass!, and back home via the Nürburgring. epic, so i wonder what my fuel bill will be for that!
  7. Hi, Only just got my Z, on my second tank of fuel now and was just wondering what MPG other people get in there 350's (driving economically). The reason i ask is when i got the car the guy selling it told me that with a full tank he usualy gets around 450 miles... my last tank i got 290miles (driving economically about 50% of that), on bord comp was saying 21 MPG. 450 seems a bit high compared to what i got, dose anybody here ever get to 450? Thanks!
  8.
