Midland's Go-Kart Meet

Recommended Posts

I really fancy a Go-Kart meet so I can whoop all you gay Datsun drivers especially Dave in his flower coloured car :p

A few point though:

I have no idea when or where we could do it or how much it would cost, I just fancy doing it

So ideally someone will come up with a decent karting venue, I'll call them up, get a price, set a date and then you'll all see why I'm the site Stig :teeth:

So who fancies it?

ace karting off the A5 has a good track, decent karts, good prices, they do a gp format thing which is a little odd but unsure about what else they offer

Stretton karting has a great track.

40 quid i think,

if the time suits them im up for it. quite new to the forum so would be nice to meet a few of you.

Whats odd about the GP format?

They split you into two groups and then you do heats against the other groups, about 4 heats, semi's then the final.

last time i went we just did a standard race format with two groups of 8, 22 laps at about 27 secs a lap, three sessions for about £40

Sounds like a good idea, depending on the date I’d be interested…

I was thinking along the lines of a Saturday afternoon towards the end of October..........e.g 24th or 31st..........

Would it be an idea to limit potential venues to indoor tracks so that the weather doesn't ruin it for us??

Will be up for it as I love a bit of karting :drive1

That looks good there actually, this looks interesting:

Super Prix Sprint

Practice, 5 Race Heats, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, Super Prix Final

14+ drivers @ £37.50 per head

20+ drivers, organiser races free.

Off-peak* £35 per head.

So if you get to the final you'll have raced in 8 races, with a cost of £37.50, doesn't seem to bad to me! :D
