Pink screen on my Lap top

Recommended Posts

Most likely the screen connector has come loose

+1

Probably come partially loose meaning you loose some colour channels, if its under warranty just tell them it just started to happen. If its not its pretty easy to take it apart and try push the cable in, I had to do it on my Acer after some dosy airhostess dropped it.

It was a re-conditioned one from my fave shop 'ebay'... No warranty left on it unfortunately, I only wanted it for I tunes and internet as ive got a lap top for work but they ban you from going on all the good websites ... you tube, i tunes, porn hub lol etc etc

I will try having a look if theres any loose wires, if not I suppose I will have to buy another one

Do you have the full model number? I used to have a Lattitude D600 and took it apart for my first carpc so know the workings pretty well. Can probably find you the destruction manual if you let me know the service tag or model number :)

OK cant find the proper Dell manual I used to have, but here is a good link - http://2xod.com/articles/Dell%20Latitud ... sassembly/

Shows you how to take the top panel/strip and keyboard off, that should give you access to the screen cable to test that. If that doesnt work, then you need to call the insurance company I guess!
