A couple of weekes ago, I parked it in the road in front of my mothers house, locked up and went in. 10 mins later there is a knock at the door and a lady asks me whether that is my car parked outside. I say yes why and she said that its on fire.

I ran out expecting it to be smoking from under the bonnet but it was the interior that was burning. I opened the door and managed to put it out with the garden hose before the fire brigade turned up. I was gutted..I mean bottom lip quivering gutted.

It was deemed a right off by the insurance company and i got 12 grand back from them. :byebye:

It was black with a nismo/vielside kit, Pop charged invidia exhaust, sports cats, grounding kit..you name it.

Was in touch with nissan and told them in my opinion, I believe it was an electrical fire from a harness. Were not interested at all. They said I had my insurance pay out and as it was an 2003 car and an "isolated" incident, no further action would be taken.

Been thinking of an accuse to buy another make..audi, bmw etc..but I keep coming back to looking for another Zed. :drive1

Will try and post some pics

When I try and upload the pics it says that it is an invalid file. They are Jpegs, or is it that they are too big?

P.S I was insured through our very own Chris Knott and from collection of the car to cheque landing on my door step was about 2 weeks. Unheard of I know.

Sorry to hear that but you dont hear of many zeds going up in flames. So it would probably be an isolated incident. Had you done any mods to the wiring in the time you owned it? Nissan certainly would not be interested in a nearly 6 year old car.

upload them to photobucket (FREE) and use the IMG code it gives you under each picture. Paste that here on your thread at it will display the pictures automatically.

Nice to see Chris Knott Insurance do a great job
