i have been very lucky to get a set of bonnet dampers from ian. they need a refurb but thats great because its all part of the plan. by the way Ian is a true leg-end and has helped me out tremendiously.

 

what i'm after is a small clip that holds the ball section of the arm into the socket section if people know what i mean.

 

does anyone know where i can get a new clip/set of clips from.

just use some thin wire or a use a paperclip until you can get one... dont think spares are easy to find...

 

that was plan B, but i think it might be the best option.

 

great idea about the paper clip, hadn't thought of that. was wondering what i could supplement with at the workshop. 3fiddyz your a genius. :thumbs:

lol...funny enough i lost one too when i was fitting mine, I kept saying to myself "don't drop it don't drop it", but it ended up on the road somewhere never to return.

still not managed to source a replacement yet.

I might have some off you next time I see ya Mart, mine have rusted :blush: Since repainting the struts themselves the clips look a little bit rubbish!

any news on these yet martin ;) could do with 4 do make my refurb of these struts look good ;)

just started this evening, been stripping the paint back, have taken some before pics and will take some after shots as well.

 

just need to find an image to show me which way round they fit :blush:
