SAFC99 Posted April 25, 2009 Share Posted April 25, 2009 I have an annoying squeek coming from the boot, it dissapears if i open and close the boot, when the squeek is happening and i open and shut any of the doors the squeek can be heard. R35LEE Posted April 25, 2009 Share Posted April 25, 2009 The 'squeek' could be from loose hinge bolts or loose bolts on gas struts? Is it a plastic rattle and squeek or more metallic? The latch may also require attention. Have a friend outside the car push on the hatch down and from side to side while your inside. Gizmo-R Posted June 9, 2010 Share Posted June 9, 2010 Thread resurrection!! I have this problem I believe and it sounds like I have crickets in the boot! Very annoying and I've yet to pin down the root of the problem! If I thump the top corner of the boot on the outside you can hear it make that squek noise. Any more ideas on this one chaps?
