I have a varis CF front spoiler that doesn't particularly like speed bumps and the clear coat of lacquer (i think) has cracked a bit. None of the CF weave is damaged though.

Can I repair the clear coat or not? Just looks a bit tatty as the cracks are a white colour that's all.

Cheers

it depends - its probably a resin based gelcoat that you have broken but some people also will lacquer a bonnet to give it that extra shine.

As for repairing it - its possible with resin and or lacquer depending on how much is missing

If you laquer over the top of the crack, would you still not see the mark underneath?
I dunno mate.. that's why I asked  Im unsure of whether it wold fill the gap or just paint over the top.
