Josh Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Hi guys, Just fitted de-cat pipes too my 350 and with my DC Exhaust is a bit too raspy for me, keen too keep the decat pipes on so just wondering if anyone would be interested in a swap, am looking for an exhaust with a deeper engine note and less 'rasp' Money either way. Thanks Josh Quote
M13KYF Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 the DC is quite raspy higher up the rev range anyway Quote
scottsoulby Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 ive got a standard exhaust that i could swap its got a nice quiet tone and doesnt rasp a bit, sounds perfect for you Quote

Josh Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 ive got a standard exhaust that i could swap its got a nice quiet tone and doesnt rasp a bit, sounds perfect for you Dont think i mentioned anything about quiet... I fitted the decat pipes as i wanted more noise but its just not the sound i was looking for.....that a problem? I liked the sound of the DC its just is was a little quiet but i will keep looking. Oh and you can keep your standard zorst thank you Quote
lotuscc Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Might be better to swop your decats for hi-flows. My hi-flows gave the exhaust note a slighlty harder edge making it sound even better - one of my fav mods. Quote
From A to Zed Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Hey Josh, lotuscc, Have you noticed much of a drop in performance since fitting your de cats / high flow cats respectively? I've heard you can lose anything up to 40ft/lb of torque but I'm a sucker for noise too Cheers, Matt Quote
Pimm Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 It is fun to have a different noise but if it means losing performance, is it worth it ? Quote
lilsheepshagga_turbo Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 you could just buy the ESR K1 if your a noise junkie or the topspeed pro n1 zaust??? -ho Quote

ersen.o Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 i noticed a massive drop in torque so sold my decats. i ran 276bhp and 206 ft/lb on dyno with Decats + AEM + DC Sports. I blame the decats. they came off the next day and i never looked back... Quote

ersen.o Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 there we go, im 99% sure i got 276 due to the auto leveling ECU but not sure what the torque was meant to be standard? spme websites shows 260-70 some show arouns 240 Quote
Ian Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I lost a load of torque with decats aswell This is my Dyno chart with them in Quote
