saint
Hi, my NCB is suspended pending the outcome of a case. The other party involved hasn't made a claim in the 3 months it was open, but my insurer says they have to keep the case open for 6 more months. Would you give me a quote given you require "1 years NCB" ?
CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Did you claim under your policy for repairs, etc following the incident or is it just third party damage that might surface?
saint
I wont be claiming anything on my policy, it is debatable whether either car was damaged seeing as the scuff on the 3rd party car came out with a wash. The third party hasn't contacted their insurance but my insurance can't close the case until next year (I had a real go at them since I was merely notifying them of the incident). Anyway, if I get a good enough quote if I offered the 3rd party a few quid he'd sign a waiver saying the claim is closed...
Jollygreen
Just want to warn any 350Z newbies not to waste their time with chris knott insurance. Told can't be covered as haven't had the car for a year!!!!! For f... sake, I'm 55,have owned a number of high powered cars, including a 911 and motorcycles, current one being BMWK1300, 0-60 in 2.3 secs, top speed 190mph and have raced cars and motorcycles for 40 years!! Obviously I am too stupid to be trusted with all the power of Z!!!! Thanks for nothing Chris Nott, I feel totally insulted. #chrisnottgoingtoinsureyou #nevergoingtouseyou
CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Hi, I'm sorry we couldn't help you this year. It's car performance experience we need (rather than m/cycle) and in the case of a 350Z it has to also be RWD experience. How recent was the Porsche? cudaboy
will phone tomorrow, just bought 350z today, trailered home need to insure
cudaboy
The zed is still a 3.5ltr lump compared to the 2000's 2 so even though the bhp might have been similar that's still too much of a difference for the insurers on our panel I'm afraid. well my last car a 68 barracuda 440ci/7.2l so if that dont qualify

STYLZ
Yeah they're a buncha sh#t talking liars. Tell you they're the best but then they can't insure most folk because we don't meet their criteria. Pull the other one Chris Knott. Will be letting everyone know not to waste their time with yous. CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Tell you they're the best but then they can't insure most folk because we don't meet their criteria. No one can guarantee to be the best 100% of the time I'm afraid - it's just not realistic. Otherwise we'd insure all the forum's members and no one company does. The criteria set by the insurers is to make sure we don't take on too much of the riskiest stuff. 12 months experience of the power and RWD is a minimum requirement and it makes sense. I'm confused as to why we couldn't help @cudaboy if he has had a Barracuda and I'm looking into that at this moment.
STYLZ
You're confused hahahahaha. Says it all really.
CK@Chris Knott Insurance
I don't do the quotes, so yes I'm just asking our guys what the real issue was.
CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Ah right, I'm told there was another issue, based on one of the insurers' other risk requirements. cudaboy - will PM you.
cudaboy
never even asked the power of my barracuda could have been 1000hp for all you know, im not going to get into it, i appreciate your time and will consider you in future, thankyou again. chirag1988
What I found annoying with Chris Knott is they go through all the details with you, and then ask you to go and find quotes elsewhere and they'll "see if they can price match". Why wouldn't I just go with the other insurer if there's no difference in price??
CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Is that for a renewal or a new policy? If a renewal we are allowed to price match to save you the hassle of moving. If new policy we can do better than match.
W8BGS
Thanks for your assistance in organising a call back, shame you couldn't give me a competitive quite. Your advisor told me I would be doing very well sticking with Hastings
CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Hi, The BBC News website reports: "Drivers saw their car insurance premiums rise by an average of £110 in the last year, a comparison site says. More expensive repairs and recent government changes to injury payouts pushed up annual insurance costs by 16%, according to Confused.com. It found drivers paid on average £781 on comparison sites for a comprehensive policy in the year to March 2017. Average premiums are set to rise to a record high and could pass £1,000 next year, it added. Newer vehicles have seen some of the biggest rises, because their increasingly complex electronics have made repairs more expensive... ...The Confused [dot] com research...checks more than four million car insurance quotes." I just wanted to let you know that the Chris Knott average premium through the club insurance scheme is much lower than that reported on the comparison sites. In March 2016, Chris Knott's average premium was less than half that at £369. This March (2017) it was £399 - just a £30 increase and still majorly more economical than £781. There's definitely something beneficial for members in using the club scheme through Chris Knott then, even if we can't be the best for 100% of the membership. QUOTELINE: 0800 917 2274 - please call us at renewal. If that's before 1st June you'll also gain entry in the Chris Knott 'British F1 Grandstand Tickets' Prize Draw. best, Nick **************** Recent testimonials from CK customers across the car enthusiast community... "£367 cheaper than my renewal from flux, £65 cheaper with no limited mileage & all mods covered after shopping around. I am a happy bunny thanks." G30001, R32 Owners Club "Had my quote matched today so new CK customer on Saturday as of renewal time. Covers all the mods that are planned from the stockpile of parts in the garage that have been collected over the last few months... Spoken to 3 different ladies (Tabitha, Kathy (of Legend) and Rebecca) and the level of customer service has been consistently brilliant with everything being understood first hand and not needing to explain what each mod is." benmellor, GT86/BRZ Drivers Club "Thank you Daryl for matching a cheaper quote from another insurance company. Guess I will be staying with Chris Knott for another year. " Jon Dixon, Facebook "I may need to hop back to chris knott insurance when my renewal comes through early next month, made the mistake of hopping over to a cheaper provider who has extortionate admin fees." sliced, Audi-Sport.net "Recently taken a policy out with Chris Knott due to the very competitive quote. I needed to call them to change my reg number as I added my private plate to my car, I braced myself for the "well there's a charge for this and a charge for that" as experienced from other insurance companies, but no! Gave them the new number and that was that, no charge! Well done, credit where it's due!! stchris356, BimmerForums
