nixy Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 let it off on bonfire night but just be prepared to be winched up from your garden by a sea king! Quote
dcash5 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I think you have to have one in Japan .... I know my mate had a Mazda bongo !!!!! -(most comfortable car in the world) with one in. Worrying this this fair was about 12 years old so we darent touch it! Quote
stanski Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Think they are compulsary in Japan - and illegal in this country! So remove it sharpish and place it somewhere in a steel box - there will be a use-by date on it also - should still be in date? Normally they live on the nearside (passenger) footwell attached by a plastic clip. Remember Japan is a very large country - imagine Uk cars supplied with those! Still got my figaro one and its dated till 2012! But the importer should have removed it before selling the car on? Quote
dandan118 Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 bonfire night coming up so may give it a go! Car is 5 yrs old so hope it will still work. i've not checked for a use by date, can't read Japanese too well! Quote
stanski Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 The date is English numbers! Its not a firework thing its just a flare you strike against the ground and lay it down - be careful matey - Hey take pics and post it up! Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Had a space for one in my old pajero even though it was a UK car. Yep jap regulation. Bought mine off a UK mitsi parts store... Didnt realise they were "illegal" Let mine off after the British GP 2 years ago... sure I have a pic or 2.... Quote
Adriank Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I had one in my Integra when i got it, again was advised its ILLEGAL to carry a flare in the car in UK, so anyone that has one get it out sharpish! Quote
