I'm interested in getting the 18" Dotz Hanzo's wheels for my 2004 Zed.

However, I've noticed that they don't do a 8 x 18" for the front. The closest I can get is 8.5 x 18". My question is would the 225 front tyre stretch to fit the extra 12.5mm without compromising the integrity or safety?

I want the 18" as I've recently brought some new Toyo Proxes T1-R's and I don't want to fork out for new tyres.

The rears are no problem as the rear Ray is 8 x 18" anyway so the 245's will fit straight on.

Does anybody know if there will be any clearance issues with the front caliper with the front wheel being half an inch wider?

Will I need spacers?

What is the offset (ET) and PCD of the studs for the Zed?

Any advice appreciated,

Cheers,

Craig.

No spacers on Lexx's car

Thats good to know.

Do you do these wheels Phil?

If so, how much delivered for four in number 8.5 x 18"? (wheels only)

Cheers,

Craig.

Why do you want 8.5" all round?

Due to low demands, Dotz have stopped producing the Hanzo wheel in any size.

Thus only I is allowed to have them!

It's the closest to 8" for the front I can get. I don't want clearance issues with the caliper. Lexx told me he has about 1mm clearance from wheel to caliper.

The rears because they are the same as my current Rays and so the Proxes will fit nicely.

What sizes would you recommend?

Staggered offset.

8.5 front, and 9.5 rear.

Though bare in mind that mine are 19"s. So dont know what/if clearance will be any different when using 18"s

Does that mean my rear 245 tyres will stretch to fit the wider 9.5" wheel?

Not 100% true lex.

Looking on the Wheel and Tyre bible webby :

245/45/18 reccomended wheel size is

8x18 -> 9.5x18

225/45/18 is:

7.5x18 -> 9x18

So in theory the standard tyres will fit ok, they will just look stretched and the ride will be extra harsh!

Thanks for the reply Adrian. I've sent a PM.

I've done some (very dodgy) Photoshopping to put the Hanzo's on some sample internet pics of a gunmetal Zed side on (easier to do) :lol: .

I'm interested to see the colour against a gunmetal Zed as I wasn't sure it would look as good as the white Zed which, in my opinion, is hands down the best colour for the Zed.

The first pic is my Zed, the rest are internet sourced. What do you think?

I think they go fine with the GM but they're not really equivalent to 18" on those photoshops, are they? ;)

Ha ha! :lol:

I think I got a bit carried away with the resizing tool. Maybe its my subconscious telling me what size to go for!! :teeth:
