That is probably trade they have offered you. I expect one of the traders on here could confirm that. IMO bearing in mind the current economic climate, I would say that you should try for around £10500 - 11000.

Again, sorry to hear about the car. I would definately push for get every penny you can get. I wouldn't settle for £9,250 especially if you spent near on £14k for it. I would try to push it to £11k plus the cost of the extras. You cant pick up any decent Z for £9k, so they should give you more than that, you couldn't buy a like for like one for that money - tell them this!

Ok stew, but the repair estimate was £14,000!! so that leaves you about £1,750 out of pocket on a car worth 13,750

The best thing you can do at this point is trawl your way through the PH classifieds and Autotrader, and find similar cars. Bearing in mind you'll totally have to ignore the mods, just find a few good examples of cars like yours and the prices. Put all this together in a file and send it via recorded delivery to the insurers and prepare to start haggling.
