06 Headlights

Hi guys As i should be collecting my car soon really miffed about the headlight issue with these cars!! just needed to know will 06 Headlights fit on an 03 uk converted jap import??? are the plugs and things the same??? Sorry to be a pain guys............

Not too much wrong with the 03 headlights that some replacement main bulbs, LED sides and chrome indicators wont fix

 

But I belive the 06 headlights are an easy swap...

quick answer is no i think, the jap cars have a 6 pin harness and the uk cars have an 8 pin because of the hid self leveling mechanisim.

Anyway, I don't know what's wrong with the OEM lights - I think mine look fine and the beam is great at night.

Ah - that would explain it. Mine were put back after SVA.

something to consider (not sure if its like this on a UK/JDM car though) - when doing the swap on a US car, there is one wire that must be clipped for the turn signals, otherwise that bulb will always be illuminated. - as I recall its a solid blue wire. I had to do this when swapping my stock 04 units to the 06.

 

Absolutely night and day difference between the light output on both units by the way - the std. 03-05 units leave a lot to be desired
