coronation Posted Friday at 23:14 Posted Friday at 23:14 My battery has died on my 2006 UK supplied 350Z Roadster. Will not take any charge. However i have a problem. The old battery's terminals are to the rear of the battery. The new battery's terminals are to the FRONT of the battery. This makes it impossible to reattach the positive lead to the positive terminal on the new battery. The new battery was chosen resulting from a search involving my reg number to identify the correct battery for the car. The battery supplied supposedly for my Zed, is Bosch 54 024 with terminals to front. Help! Quote
SHEZZA Posted Saturday at 04:11 Posted Saturday at 04:11 That’s a strange one, as my battery terminals are at the front 1 Quote
HEADPHONES Posted yesterday at 17:29 Posted yesterday at 17:29 My '05 battery terminals are the same as @SHEZZA. Quote
coronation Posted yesterday at 18:15 Author Posted yesterday at 18:15 As you can see from my photo, no way my leads can fit on a battery with terminal at the front! Quote
ShortPaul Posted yesterday at 18:42 Posted yesterday at 18:42 That's the same as my previous 350z I think you might have the wrong battery Quote
coronation Posted yesterday at 19:02 Author Posted yesterday at 19:02 Hi The battery that has died (after 17 years) was in the car from new (bought new) , (with terminals towards the rear) I can't find a suitable rear terminal battery. Still need help!! Quote
ZMANALEX Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Post up a picture of the old battery and the new one. Sounds like you may have the wrong battery, as the Bosch S4 024 has the terminals at the front when fitted correctly. Quote
coronation Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Problem solved. Wrong battery supplied! This new one is a Bosch 026 which fits perfectly and is exactly the same size as my OEM battery. Other motor parts suppliers and a Nissan dealership all came up with the Bosch 024 which is wrong for my car. Mine has the VQ 35 DE engine. Was the battery changed when the VQ 35 HR engine was introduced?? Thanks to all for their help and advice. Quote
