KUGT4 Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Just noticed my Kuro black sprayed GT4 alloys (previous owner) are heavily oxidizing around the entire nut area, cracked, broken black paint and white powder oxidisation everywhere (post picture at some point) Was going to brush off most of it for now and go over it with heavy duty wax Anybody come across this with the GT4 alloys? davey_83 Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Common for alloys of this age sadly. For £45 worth of products you could refurb them yourself 👍 I recently did a colour change on my Sumner wheels. Quote
KUGT4 Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 Nice Weapons of choice for now Stiff brush and an old can of Collinite super wax bought for my previous car....still good after 15 years 1 1 Quote
Jack94 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) Looks like whoever painted them did a pretty crappy job. As Davey has said, you could try repainting them yourself if you're confident. If not you could get them powder coated any colour you fancy for a few hundred quid. I'd reccomend the wheel specialist, they did my LMGT4's and their quality is top notch. KUGT4 Posted October 14, 2022 Author Posted October 14, 2022 Have 10x Kuro black spray cans knocking around, gonna give it a go Etch or regular primer? Quote
davey_83 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Regular unless you are taking them back to bare metal. Prep prep prep, nice 2k lacquer to finish them off also. 1 1 Quote
