Can`t get tailgate open.

Having problems getting into boot. Button under tailgate will sometimes get it to open 1/4 ", as will 

release on suspension brace, any ideas to fix this, thanks in advance.

Can`t get that far, opens 1/4 inch to catch, then won`t open any further, even with interior 

cable pull, even pulling with fingers then clicking unlock on fob twice in succession.

Any ideas?

Hi buddy try pressing the release button above the registration plate and try to manually lift the boot lid

There is an emergency boot release button under the rear strut brace buddy. As above it will only open 1/4 inch so you will need to put your hand under the lip, press the release button above the number plate and lift manually.

When it is up the 1/4 inch, it is like the bonnet before you release the catch, it is not just the weight,

does that help any ?

Been in workshop manual, tells you all about the workings, but not what to do if you can`t get in.

Starting to get frustrated. will try you tube vids, but ones I have seen so far don`t tell you. hmmphhh

Definitely do as ShirtPaul suggests. Lift whilst pressing the button. Could try the penny trick, although wasn't a good fix for me. I suggest https://www.opentop.fr/350z?lang=en if that's the problem.

Pressing the button just raises it enough for me to grab and lift. It's been around 4 years and I don't know any different 😆

If you weren't so far away i would come and have a pop at it myself

SORTED..... I am in, interior release with someone outside to lift, so easy when you now how,

can now sort problem, and also remove weight, thanks for all replies.
