Osakakev Posted Wednesday at 19:52 Share Posted Wednesday at 19:52 Hi, I had a slight radiatior leak for a while but absolutely no overheating issues and eventually replaced radiator with a Koyo one (along with some new hoses and Koyo Radiator cap). It's now overheating, my aftermarket water temp went just over 100 and warning light come on. The normal one went much higher. I let the car cool down and got it back to home. The header tank is full as is the radiator. Going to get it back in with mechanic but he said it doesn't sound like an air lock. Any ideas what it could be? I hope I haven't done any damage to it! Cheers

Azurez33 Posted Wednesday at 19:56 Share Posted Wednesday at 19:56 Air lock in system, have you bled it properly? And have you opened the bleed at the back of the engine?
Osakakev Posted Wednesday at 19:58 Author Share Posted Wednesday at 19:58 Mechanic fitted it and he says he did and doesn't think it's an airlock... Will mention the bleed at the back of engine just in case he missed that
ZMANALEX Posted Wednesday at 20:01 Share Posted Wednesday at 20:01 Another one here with air lock. They can be challenging to bleed for mechanics who don't know there way round a 350Z.

Osakakev Posted Wednesday at 20:17 Author Share Posted Wednesday at 20:17 Thanks Alex Whilst I'm here I wanted to also change the upper radiator hose (it's cut for coolant sensor) and the one I supplied (Mishimoto) is bent and it needs to be straight in order to cut. Do you have a replacement (blue to match if possible)?
ZMANALEX Posted Wednesday at 20:35 Share Posted Wednesday at 20:35 I will check when in the shop tomorrow for you.
