Powder coating Rays / forged alloys

Has anyone experienced any issues when having Rays / forged alloy wheels powder coated? i.e. does the process of powder coating weaken them?

Only if the recommended temperature is exceeded whilst in the oven during the process.

I personally wouldn't risk it as its not common for manufactures to forge alloys, so the likelihood is they'll be put in the oven with all the other cast wheels and returned to once remembered. Refurb via sanding and painting would be my advice.
