Hi folks,

Currently sitting in a lay-by with a poorly 350z waiting recovery....... engine management light came on and an odd clicking/puffing noise coming from the car during idle. Roadside diagnostic pulled up error code ‘P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire detected’

initial thought was potentially the coil pack is goosed? Not sure if anyone has experienced the same issues and have any advice??

Cheers

last year I had something similar happen it turned out to be the connecter on the coil pack to cylinder 6 it had some how come apart .cleaned and pushed back in and it's been fine since.

I had that a couple of weeks ago - has yours got anything showing under "pending codes"? Mine had an actual cylinder number showing there, but not in the actual fault code list. Really helpful, that...

Anyway, turned out to be a dodgy coil pack - swapped it over to cyl 3, and the next pending code that showed up was for that.
