Possible new (third time) owner

Good morning. I'm looking for some quick advice on a prospective purchase. I've had two 350z's previously and very much want another! I've found a couple of potentials but looking to save some  cash so will consider anything. Is slipped timing chain on a 350z likely to be fatal for the engine. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to take it for an honest honest appraisal? There are a number of reconditioned engines available at reasonable prices but if I go down this route is there anything else I need to worry about? Many thanks.
