Heat wrap on new manifold?

HI all,

 

Looking for general opinion as I've been given mixed advice.

 

I've got some new SS manifolds going on my car and unsure whether I should heat wrap them or not? What have others done or recommended?

I would go for it, especially as the zeds engine bay gets so hot! Wrap is a lot cheaper than ceramic coated manifolds too which is the same sort of idea of keeping cool

Could also look at it that it protects other components in the bay from contact on roasting hot manifolds

It goes on a lot easier if you wet the wrap first, allowing it to stretch when working around curved pipes.

Also alot easier to work with wet, as results in less shards.
