370 new owner...Couple of Questions

Hi just bought a 2010, 370 for my daughter and hoped other owners could help with a couple of questions as I can't find a suitable reference in the user manual.

1) is it possible to get a digital display of road speed, like the older 350s have instead of using the analogue speedo

2) when rolling down my sloping drive or pulling into the drive then stopping the car seems to be held on the brakes for a short while before automatically releasing. Can someone explain how this works (not in detail of course) and can something be damaged if you try to drive before it releases itself. Also what's this system called by Nissan.

3) Can the sat nav screen/system be modified to fit a reversing camera

4) Has anyone fitted reversing sensors and if so is it much of a trial?

5) Finally for now!!... is there a workshop manual available on cd or somewhere I can get my hands on

Many thanks in anticipation!

Can only comment on the first two;

1. No, (not that iv`e ever been able to find anyway)

2. Hill start assist - if I remember right it activates when in gear and handbrake is not on having stopped with foot brake on an incline, but seems to be a bit hit and miss as to when/how steep the incline makes it activate, it`s supposed to release when you start to pull away or after 3 or 4 seconds if you don`t.

Dicky,

I was quoted £120 to have reversing sensors fitted, matched to the colour of my car.

Others on here have retro fitted reversing cameras.

Rob

Was that a main dealer Rob or a specialist company's?

I retrofit a camera on my 2010 Z. Just got one off eBay and fit it myself, couple of hours work. Do a search online there's quite a few write ups people have done about how to do it

Thanks, so it can't be integrated with the sat nav screen IE needs a separate screen?

No, I CAN be added to the sat nav screen ðŸ‘. Have a look here, http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/81829-my-im-not-gonna-mod-this-car-roadster/

Specialist company, they had the exact colour plastic so no spraying.

Yet another question......should the 370 come with a jack ??

I bought a spacesaver wheel, tyre, jack and brace of a forum member for £120. We travel abroad a lot so prefer that to the gunk.

I understood space savers were'nt available for the 370 and that the only option was to use a 350 space saver using a 20 mm wheel spacer on the rear to clear the discs. Is that correct??

No you can buy a 370 space saver from Nissan but many people use the 350z ones , most dont bother
