Hi guys just wondering id this is common or not on these cars i have had a creaking nosie coming fron the rear when driving sounds like interior plastics or something in the car flexing when going over uneven ground or bumps.Been happening for a few months now. I removed the rear sub all the foam bits and tools from the back to test and its still doing it ? Any ideas ?

Two things that creaked on mine.

1: The seat was tilted far back, and the leather was rubbing on the plastic behind. I almost lie down when I'm driving.

2: Those little glove boxes on either side? One was creaking. I removed it and padded the outside of it with foam. Fixed.

I'm sure the noise on mine is coming from the boot lid, somedays it's not to bad and other days it's worse, really frustrating! I think taking out the boot lid weight may have worsened it so i may put it back in. I have put foam around the boot to stop any movement from the area around the sub but to no avail. I need to also sort out the boot lid openers by doing doing the penny trick as the boot lid now fails to open at a single press of the button, the weight removal method only worked for a brief amount of time. The car isnt even a year old!

I removed my boot plastics last night and still no luck! I think the noise is coming form the boot catch mechanism, i reckon it's moving up and down whilst driving and is causing the noise. My car is booked in for it's first service at Nissan next month so they are going to look in to it then.

Fingers crossed they will fix it let me know what the cause is if they find it. Ah I dont take mine to nissan anymore even though it would be free servicing. After mods and a tune I dont like the fact they dont even put fully synthetic engine oil in 👎

I will let you know what the outcome is! Hopefully they sort it as it's driving me crazy! It has got louder the last week or so as well. Yeah i've got free servicing for three years and the only mod so far is an exhaust so i will see see how Nissan service is.

Well my car went in for it's first service last week and they think they had sorted the creaking noise but after a couple of days it's come back again and i really can't be bothered to deal with there crappy customer service at the moment! They replaced both of the boot springs under warranty but the boot lid still wont open first time  i will probably just put some plactic washers in the spring casing to sort it rather than using pennies! Should have bought german

One place I know of where a creak can come from is the loop on the end of the seatbelt hanger arm. Mine squeaks and creaks when the loop turns on the swivel joint. It's not particularly loud, but given it's in your earhole, it gets persistently more annoying the longer you drive.

Going to have to get some silicone spray for mine over the holiday.

Just an update on the situation, i managed to locate the problem to the boot lid catch as it was infact the catch mechanism that had some play and this was moving up and down at low speed which was causing the noise, nissan have now replaced the boot lid mechanism and now all is well! My boot lid now opens first time every time! So now i have a working boot lid and a nice quiet cabin :)
