Daily driver insurance

Need to replace my Focus ST170. It's simply dreadful on petrol. Just looking at insurance.

 

Its a 1.5 diesel clio.

 

Confused.com 445 quid.

Adrian Flux 890 quid.

 

Can anyone recommend insurers for daily drivers?

Yeah forget Adrian Flux at the moment as I went to renew my car and they were almost £200 more than anywhere else.

 

I'm going with the RAC this/next year as they gave a very competitive quote with low excesses & decent extras included like free legal cover/assistance. Have you tried looking on "Go Compare"?

 

That's where I usually get my quotes from before anywhere else. Might be worth checking "Admiral" too as I hear they're pretty good.

I was with hastings direct last year they were by far cheapest for the Z just changed to Adrian flux they were £130 cheaper than my renewal paying £400 for the Z atm

This is what i do. Admiral has been cheapest for my daily last few years. But it does tend to vary.

it was admiral for me for a few years, but now its esure.

Make sure you barter hard to get them to toss in legal cover etc. etc. its just as important as the overall price, its all very much worth it if you get a tricky claim.
