Hudders Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) Recently bought a set of 20mm and 25mm hub centric spacers for my Z. I fitted the rears with no problem but when i got to fitting the fronts i found that the hand brake adjuster was in the way and the hub centric spacer wouldn't fit on. Well i'm assuming it's the hand brake adjuster. I've not read anything like on here regarding fitting front spacers so have i got different hubs? Any ideas anyone? MITZ@CougarStore Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 You can safely remove that, 12mm socket and spacers are good to go... Quote
ZMANALEX Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) If you are referring to the 12mm bolt and spacer then just remove it as it serves little purpose. Mitz Edited June 16, 2016 by ZMANALEX 1 Quote
Hudders Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 I can just take it off ? What is it and why is it there ? Quote
ZMANALEX Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It is there to stop you fitting the rear wheels on the front, so as advised just take it off. Quote
zebedy Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I think every man and his dog has been caught out with this when fitting their first set of new alloys lol, me included. Quote

RS8055 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Strangely enough I had no idea that this existed. I have fitted my own spacers personally and never came across that extra piece! Quote
