Easty Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 So Iv just missed out on a set of headers on eBay, the question Iv got is Has anyone fitted the cheaper ones from eBay? Do they fit ok ect? Or should I just stick with my standards..... Thanks guys Quote
Rich260 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I missed out on the same ones! Personally I wouldn't be touching any of the ebay ones. It's a very labour intensive job to fit them so it would be gutting to go through the process only to find there was fitment issues or they fail after a short period of time. 1 Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Stillen, DC sports, Borla, Tomei, etc, plenty to choose from: http://www.torqen.uk/102-headers-manifolds Even the 370z ones would be a bit better than stock 350z. Quote
Tricky-Ricky Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 As already said if your not sure on quality its a PITA job to change them, and besides unless they are genuine performance enhancing properly designed tried and tested items, you are more likely to see a loss in power. Quote
ZeppoJeff Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I've got a friend selling some stillen de headers if anyone is interested. Unused and just been in storage. Quote
Rich260 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 wasn't the stillens was it.... sorry guys Git! I'm glad they went to a forum member at least, good purchase dude! Quote
Karl92 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 was kinda a last minute thing one of my mates sent me a link and that was it.... totally his fault cant wait to get them on now though Quote
Rich260 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 You planning on fitting them your self or having a garrage do it? Either way I'd like to hear your experience with them as it's something I'm planning on doing next. It would also be great to see a before and after dyno to see what gains they produce. Quote
Ceejay29 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Installed Nismo 14002's on my zed a few weeks ago whilst replacing the clutch; most probably my favourite modification. Breathing mods complete and the old girl sounds awesome. It is a ballache and I would not want to repeat it. For this reason I would advise avoiding a product that cannot be guaranteed. I cannot comment on numbers as the car has not been on a rolling road. But its a big thumbs up for smiles per gallon. Quote
fake ben taylor Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Fwiw I got long tube manifolds (the only ones worth having) and a 3.5" single exit exhaust made for £1850, which included removal of old and fitting of all the new stuff. Also it's all stainless steel and using burns parallel merge slip on collectors. The long tubes are to the same specs as the sgmotorsport ones as seen on Sasha's Z, mike Gardner's z etc Quote
fake ben taylor Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 There's a clip in my project thread of a car that sounds nigh on identical but no sound clips ofine yet, only a cold rev, but I'll grab the link Quote
