The nice thing about the higher end watches (Rolex, Patek, Breitling) is that they hold their value. At least in the states they do. If you take care of your Rolex, you can sell it years down the road for nearly what you paid. They can be an investment like diamond jewelry. Quote

I have a Tag or two, but my boss has half a dozen limited edition Rolex's / Breitlings etc. that he buys with his bonus each year. Some of them just look silly though IMO. +1 like the engagement ring you bought lauren and the diamond thoong Better than that diamonte pap you 'blessed' her with..... Quote

There aren't any dealers around me. That sucks. Quote

I had one stolen in a burglary and I found the replacement online but the insurance company wouldn't allow me to buy it and gave me vouchers for a heck of a lot more to get the replacement model.....!! About the same amount as it would have been unworn, perhaps a 5% increase, in 25 years you may be looking at a 35% increase due to its limited status... I think that they were about 20k each and this one sold for 50k euros... Not a bad return in 17 years!! If he had have sold all 6 he would have made alot more money... I like the look of them.... but can't be bothered to wear them........ bought a fake rolex in hk......looked gorgeous....really did..... for once in my life back in 2006 I did some washing up for my future in laws....took the watch off, forgot about it, and then they misplaced it in a load of folders...and I never saw that watch again until a year later!! Can you imagine, if I did that with a real one.....knowing me, I'll lose it somewhere... Quote
