Ryansm88 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Does anyone know if you can get a smaller sized washer bottle? Had a search through the forum but couldn't find anything on the subject. Quote
GMballistic Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Ok I'm curious, ....why?! Anyway I've never seen it done on a Zed before but I have seen for example a guy who owned a Toyota Supra that was using one of those universal washer bags for his windscreen wash. He did it to give himself more room in the engine bay for his massive turbo. Link: https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/windscreen-washer-bag-kit-ww-kit-bag I can't see why though a smaller bottle (if that's what you want & not the bag) from another car wouldn't work as long as it was wired up correctly & plumbed in. GMballistic Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Ok I'm curious, ....why?! Weight saving? Could be, ...between the headlight washer bottle and the windscreen washer bottle I'm sure they *hold more than the fuel tank. *for clarity purposes that is not true* Quote
Ryansm88 Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 Thanks for the info! Its not a definite decision whether i want it smaller or not, but the reason behind it is space saving, its a twin turbo 350 so theres not much wiggle room anywhere, and as I'm doing some bodywork i was curious if there was a smaller one available for a more snug fit. Plus the enormous benefit of weight saving yes Quote
GMballistic Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 That makes sense. When I supercharged my Zed I had to ditch the headlight washer bottle as there wasn't enough room for the intercooler pipes otherwise. Good luck with your plans. Quote
Vlad Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I removed my from passenger side as well. They both connected to each other anyway. Quote
andy10v Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 There are universal washer bottles on ebay. You could also go for a wander around a yard and see what is in other cars, I have done that with a tape measure for radiators before. Quote
Ryansm88 Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 What bottle set up are you using there ZMANALEX? Is that the Greddy tt kit? Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Just a universal bottle. No mate, not Greddy, totally bespoke. Quote
Ryansm88 Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 Looks ace mate! Just out of curiosity where have you mounted the power steering cooler? Also what numbers is it running? Forged? Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 The PAS cooler and the engine oil cooler are behind the intercooler. 666 bhp at the hubs and 564 lb/ft Quote
