  1. so when checking the tensioner, is the silver bit i have highlighted the piece that should not be protruding more than 15mm? Just want to be sure what I'm measuring. Thanks again!
  2. Thanks for that Alex! I ordered this kit from Torqen, would you know if this is the uprated one? I bloody hope it is! https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/engine/timing-chains-tensioners/6923-350z-de-nissan-oem-timing-chain-kit-13028-0306kt.html?search_query=tensioner+kit&results=15
  3. But should i be able to see if theres an issue with the chain or tensioner just by removing the inspection cover?
  4. Okay so my 350 has been hibernating for winter, now the orange stuff is about i have put her back on the road and getting ready for a few shows, however there is a rattle coming form the timing chain cover, almost certainly the chain rattling in there! Few things to mention, car was serviced in September and has had less than 200 miles put on since then so oil shouldn't be an issue. I ordered a whole new replacement kit (OEM) including all guides chains and tensioners, however it won't be here till monday, and i have a 2 hour journey to japfest on friday! My main question is, is the tensioner at all adjustable incase the space is too far over the recommended limit (around 10mm i believe) And is there any quick fix as such until after the show and i can get her seen to properly by the horsham or abbey guys? I don't want to risk driving far distance with the chain rattling. Might be worth mentioning thats its a TT 500+ hp build. Thanks guys, any help much appreciated!
  5. In need of a new battery and have in my possession a Yuasa YBX3096 (12v 75Ah 650A) Has anyone used this battery before? Ive done some forum searches but nothing with this particular model has come up. Although it might not even fit yet
  6. Okay so due to an intercooler and aftermarket bumper, I've currently not got a crash bar on the front of the Zed. However I'm having some body work done and to be honest would prefer having one there for obvious reasons. Does anyone know of smaller options available? I've had a look at this one but would prefer to buy from a UK source to avoid shipping, duty etc.. http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/drift-armor-front-bash-bar-for-nissan-350z-g35.html Any thoughts? Thanks
  7. Looks ace mate! Just out of curiosity where have you mounted the power steering cooler? Also what numbers is it running? Forged?
  8. What bottle set up are you using there ZMANALEX? Is that the Greddy tt kit?
  9. Thanks for the info! Its not a definite decision whether i want it smaller or not, but the reason behind it is space saving, its a twin turbo 350 so theres not much wiggle room anywhere, and as I'm doing some bodywork i was curious if there was a smaller one available for a more snug fit. Plus the enormous benefit of weight saving yes
  10. Does anyone know if you can get a smaller sized washer bottle? Had a search through the forum but couldn't find anything on the subject.
  11. i'd of been keen if it wasnt for a wild boar and a kerb destroying some bodywork recently... will be up for some spring meets when fixed
  12. Haha funnily enough a few people have said that, these are pics my friend sent over after he beefed them up on instagram... i'll get some decent ones from the SLR soon! Cant say the bodykit was 100% to my liking at first, but it is growing on me. Once you hit boost in this thing any thought of how it looks gets ignored completly
  13. Joined a few weeks ago and mentioned i was looking for a Zed, got one! I don't always jump in the deep end, but when i do, i get a 520bhp twin turbo one.... I'm sure a few of you know this car More than happy with her! Few little things to do, including fitting the new mishimoto fan, small tig weld in the exhaust and some bonnet detail (carbon has been shat on a fair bit) Other than that she runs like a dream, just need some dry roads!
  14. Hi Z fans! Not an owner but looking to be over the next month or two, always had cars for commute and bikes for fun. Looking to change that now! So will be searching through for advice etc... Some of your cars look insane from what I've seen so far ðŸ‘ðŸ»
