jumping350 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I have been toying with the idea of getting a true dual exhaust before I go for a dyno. I currently have a Fujitsubo exhaust (Centre section and Back box) a HR y Pipe and APS decats. Question is would it be better from a forced induction point of view to have a dual setup or stick with my normal setup? Would I gain anymore from having one setup over the other? Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Depending on your other mods and the power output then true dual (No Y Pipe) from the decats may be an advantage. Quote
jumping350 Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 Thanks Alex, when you say other mods are there any more other than the below I have to see an advantage? Vortech V2 S/C 3.12 pulley with CAI, FRS, Plenum Spacer, 600cc Inj, GT maf and usual stuff that goes with all that Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 What CAI are you running ? Are you running stock internals ? What are your dyno numbers at the moment ? Quote
Tricky-Ricky Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 With a SC its not going to make much difference, but with turbos yes, I ran a true duel pretty much std everything else, no ECU tune, and it made std power on Abbeys dyno. Quote
mouthwash Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Single exit makes a lot more power but a lot more noise, not quite the question but if you're chasing power you should consider it. Otherwise just get what you like the sound (literally) of. Quote
jumping350 Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 (edited) Its a K&N RX4?? that goes out to behind front bumper, stock internals, no dyno run yet everything's fitted just seeing if its worth swapping exhaust while im at it if it will make a difference before tuning. Was looking at single exits but then renders my custom rear bumper almost pointless Not chasing numbers really as still on stock internals so just seeing if I would lose out over what I have if I did swap. They look so pretty and sound so good Edited January 14, 2016 by jumping350 Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Not much gain to be had with the True Dual on your present set up, however if you require an exhaust now, then this would be an ideal time to fit a true dual because this time next year you may be considering twin turbo. 2 Quote
tomzzzcattle Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Motordyne shockwave tdx2 gets my vote for sound and quality, I think Ian / mouthwash would agree! My set up is similar to yours and I'm making good power, around 412 bhp @ hubs = 447 bhp @ fly Quote

tomzzzcattle Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Yeah it is a little pricey, thankfully I didn't have to buy it as it was already on the car when I bought it Thanks Ian! Quote
evilscorp Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 If you are happy with the noise you have now save your cash. Quote
A9H-RX Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I had a magnaflow system that restricted to me to 430 bhp. True dual certainly gives more exhaust flow Quote
