Now this may sound like a daft question but i used my washers to spray my wind screen & nothing came out, so I filled the washer tank up & tried again but nothing! So I have looked for the washer jets to see if they are connected properly & I can't find them! Where the hell are they haha! Need to see if they are connected because when I pull the lever back it doesn't even make a noise but my rear window is spraying water.

Sorry about the daft question but I can't see out my window when driving due to all the grit that's going down now so having to keep poor water on it :(

They're on the wiper arm, there's a thread on here about cleaning the hoses.

Go look and you'll find it.

I think it's cleaning water jets or something.

Thanks matey I'll have a look :)

There are various reasons why your front windscreen washers wouldn't work:

  • Fuse gone (in which case your rear wouldn't work either as it's a shared fuse AFAIK).
  • Washer motor pump gone (most likely in your case as you say you cannot hear the motor anymore).
  • Blocked or disconnected pipe (if it's blocked you'd still hear the motor/disconnected then you'd see a puddle of screen wash eventually appear under the car).
  • Blocked return valve (usually still get a dribble from the washer jets) or simply no screen wash in the reservoir (you've already checked that & topped up).

There are separate washer motor pumps for the front & rear windscreens fyi.

The pumps are both fixed to the washer reservoir located on the drivers side in the lower bumper section just in front of the wheel/tyre behind the wheel arch liner. If you cannot hear the motor running then it is most likely the pump motor has died imo.

I went through 1 front windscreen washer pump motor & two rear ones during my Zed ownership (fairly common especially as the 350's get older). It's a fairly simple job to replace them although it can get a little messy if you've a full reservoir of screen wash.

You can get the washer pumps (both front & rear) from various places but I've found Clark Motorsport (a trader on here although other traders are available) to be very good & fairly priced.

(this thread has even more links in it provided by me ;) ) http://www.350z-uk.c...42-washer-woes/

Also I forgot to mention: the tubing & the non-return valve for the front windscreen washer jets are located underneath the windscreen scuttle panel. You can get at some of it from inside the clutch/brake reservoir cover location although I still think the pump is your problem.

Hope that helps.

Sounds like your pipes are connected the other way around?

Does both front and rear screen washer works? Pull for front and push for rear.

They both have a separate pump and if either one don't make a sound, you might need a new pump. If they do, check the value which is located on the driver side, just under the cover. These no-return valve can be faulty and you can replace that with a normal connector (halfords) I think it's 2.5mm size.

one thing worth checking, on my old car ( a mondeo...) i sent it in for a full service and when it came back the washers had stopped working.....after a bit of searching, i had found that the screen wash the service place had used, had not mixed well with what i had existing and turned the whole lot to jelly....had to dump the lot, and clean the internal filter
