MrsNiki
Has anybody painted the standard 19" Rays black? Fancy doing this but would like to see pics first/gather opinions on it. Not really fancying aftermarket alloys as I love the Rays, it's just with my next round of mods, they'll look better black! Niki

Black can make the wheels look a bit lost in the arches. Edited October 13, 2015 by sipar69

sipar69
Pic of mine for comparison with black (not sure this shade has a name but it's similar to gun metal)

MrsNiki
Love love love the red rims on that last photo!! But anyway, thinking a high gloss/metallic black or an anthracite shade for definite, will match high gloss black side diffusers and front splitter! Cheers for the help/pics

Jetpilot
Gold on white is very jdm, looks awesome, dont like dark as the photos above, the wheel is lost and looks like its covered in brake dust
MrsNiki
I do love dark/black wheels, however after seeing the red I'm very tempted to just pick a bright metallic colour and do that!! The possibilities are endless lol... not good for my brain

You should see them shine when clean

ianphampton
i) Bought a set of 18" Rays off a forum member, had them refurbed and ii) powder coated anthracite grey with a touch of sparkle, iii) fitted Michelin Pilot Alpine PA4 winter tyres - iv) had them fitted on the car today!
