Yes its a 2004 UK GT. 276 model. Only engine mods are, pop charger, plenum spacer, Japspeed Y pipe and bunged K1. It would have probably made a bit more if I had removed the bungs but I didn't see the point as I drive it with the bungs in all the time. The K1 is far too loud for me to have as day to day with the bungs out. Also if I used the standard airbox with a good panel filter it would have made more but the sound from the popcharger is worth the power loss. I'm enjoying the UpRev more and more the more I drive. Really can tell the difference so much more responsive and pulls a lot harder.

Cheers man, that is good to know.

No mate I managed to do it by just taking the undertray off, then removing the deflector. They are only held on by clips. I was then able to feed it all back in from the bottom and route it to where I wanted from the top

Cold Air Feed: Cost - £10 for the hose from Halfords about 1 hour of my time. Using the right hand deflector plate in the front bumper (as you look at the front of the car) I used a hole saw to cut a hole slightly smaller than the feed pipe. Then pulled the feed pipe through folding back the edges to secure it. I then fed the pipe up to just in front of the plastic pipe by the filter its cable tied in place to make it nice and secure. No idea if it does anything but when I stop the end of the filter is stone cold and hopefully helps a wee bit. I just need an anodized trumpet thing to make it look a bit more bling

Well first drive to work this morning and fuel indications are good when going steady. On the normal commute to work I get around 26 - 26.5 mpg. This morning driving no different I got 29.2 mpg. Hopefully that will keep going and the remap will have paid for itself in no time

I am indeed mate, we all want more though - mmmmmmm supercharger long wait yet though! Hi Mate yes its class, now we have the licence remapping is only £100 per hour and Paul said he can remap one in about an hour once the base maps in there provided not going FI then takes a bit longer. Just hope to save some fuel once I can take my foot off the accelerator! Steve

For all those of you who don't nip into the Group Buy forum I have now been UpRev tuned. A massive thank you to Paul at RS Proper sound guy, answered all my (possibly stupid) questions. I had never actually realised how good the car sounds until today having only ever heard it on videos and from the drivers seat but at full chat on the dyno it sounds just how it should (well in my opinion anyway) So what about the results????? Well sadly someone had left the stable doors open and 8 ponies had escaped over stock power figures Start reading on run 2 was 268BHP run 3 yielded 265BHP and run 1 - 267BHP. So quite similar. Peak torque was around 250 foot pound. Well after mapping I finished up with 279BHP so Paul managed to round up all 8 of the escaped ponies and found 3 more hiding in the bushes. Whilst power isn't up much over stock its the torque that matters and that is far better! Peak Torque is up around 267 foot pound now. You can feel this difference, however the best part of the map is after 5k to the limiter after about 5K the car comes to life. If you look at the torque curves there is about 20 - 25 foot pound more from 5K to the end and it really tears through this part of the range, love it. The car also picks up much quicker when low down in the revs, really love second gear now Overall I am well happy. The difference isn't earth shattering but it makes the car far far better. No idea about better fuel economy as yet as I haven't had my foot off the floor! Just to reiterate Jeff's comments (from teh group buy post) Paul and the other bloke (sorry can't remember his name) were excellent really know their stuff and I am well happy with the car now. Once again a massive thank you to everyone at RS Tuning for the work and the group buy. You never know I might even get some decats in the future.......and remap but we'll see. As you can see as stock the fuelling was all over. I have a very smooth power curve now:

Hi if this falls through can I take second dibs, but I know you steve, this will take a miracle Sorry mate, Just sent the money over been after some Hel lines and a rad cap for a while, these were too good to miss. I shouldn't have after the UpRev but I couldn't resist........Just need a cheap Nismo kit to come up now . . . . . You did make more than me at RS though Cheers Steve

I'm pretty confident in my r-tune intake. Cragus has seen it, its not the normal aftermarket one. It was factory ordered with the car. I'm pretty sure the pro's at nismo wouldn't make a blunder which could lose the car power. I love it and even if I don't have as much gains I'd rather have a nice looking engine bay than all they box plastic boxes all over it Hi Neil I know that there isnt a problem, just to put it into perspective the only problem they have had was just that one with an HKS system. No more than a comment for people to contemplate and you are quite right a properly fitted peace of mod will not cause any issues. Anyway I am going to my secret test road today to give mine the full trials somewhere in the sticks of deeper Lincolnshire. Sounds like fun Monday can't come quick enough now. ALSO Thank you to the mods for tidying the thread and removing the irelevant material. Steve

By the way folks group buy is currently filled. If any more interest comes in I need to check with Paul he is happy to extend the discount further. I will ask when I go for mapping on Monday
-
Hi mate, That's excellent news!!! I wasn't sure if when Paul said £50 off if it would be before or after VAT but figured I would put the max it would cost so any extra saving would be a bonus. Really glad you are happy mate I'm really looking forward to my turn on Monday I will send a PM to all who are on my list. I'm modded very similar to you so will be interesting to see how are numbers compare. Looks like yours has done well though awesomeness!!!!!!!! Steve

The price of the UpREV at RS Tuning has been £395 + VAT ever since I started looking back in 2010. There are many factors that can influence how much something costs. For a start I'm pretty sure Abbey do people off here a deal anyway. Secondly the price is dictated by the running costs of the various places, i.e. heating, lighting, power to run the kit etc etc and margins. Economies of scale also play a big part in prices. Why do you think Dell are loads cheaper than getting the same Laptop built by a small shop down the road? It could well be that RS Tuning have to pay more for certain things than Abbey, who knows. Its kind of like saying Clothing Shop A should charge exactly the same as Clothing Shop B for the same jacket or Safestyle should charge exactly the same for double glazing as 'Local Town' trade windows as we all know this isn't the case. Like has been previosuly said if you aren't happy with the prices go to Abbey but as Neil has pointed out it would be at least a tank - tank and a half for me plus the hassle and time. I would still go to RS Tuning even if he wasn't doing us the Group Buy price. Steve

Hi Mark, Thanks very much, I do plan to angle it in the future just wanted to get it securely mounted first. It should be fairly easy to angle the way Its mounted at the bottom. Next Job is the deflector well after I put the take off plate back in Cheers Steve

Hi mate, Yes I know its important the oil gets up to temp, the take off plate is a thermostatic one with the valve starting to open at 80 degrees so will get to temperature no problem at all. I do intend on getting one at some stage just need to sort out how to mount the sensor etc. Steve
-
Yes it is difficult finding a place for it to be mounted that isn't affecting the radiator. However, I thought by keeping it clear of the 'mouth' in the bumper would be best after Mark's advice. Its rock solid where it is at the moment its mountd at the top on an existing stud and a bracket I fabbed up. Then at the bottom I've put two L shape brackets mounted to the back of the crash bar. I don't actually have a gauge for the temps but I know at Mallory last year the car was getting super hot with an ambient of 27 degrees and just added this for saftey.
-
Hi mate, I've fitted the oil cooler becuase I do quite a few trackdays in the summer and was always a bit concerned that the oil temps getting high. The oil filter is on top of the take off plate, the picture was taken between the wheel and brake disc so it wasn;t the easiest to take. Its also a K&N filter which has a nut welded onto the top for removal, that could be why it just looks like a take off plate. I've remounted my oil cooler today and its rock solid. Now sat on 4 brackets behind the crash bar, haven't connected the lines yet, thats a job for the week. Hopefully the location is better and it won't send the outdoor temp sensor mad.... I also need to make the deflector panel for the air flow but that is to follow. Any comments from anyone on plan B location??? Sorry about the rubbish quality pics! Comments appreciated

Just booked myself in for the 14th, Valentines day present for my baby lol

Hi Mark, Thanks for the info, I'm not too keen on the routing of my hoses either so think it is back to the drawing board. I'm gonna take it off this weekend before I damage the car or cooler. Appreciate the input! Steve
-
I think my install is effecting my outdoor temp sensor apparently it was 25 degrees driving to work this morning . . . .
-
Hi Alex, Thanks for the tip mate!!! It is only fixed by the top bracket, I thought that would be strong enough!I will get that sorted as soon as possible.!! I'll get some plate and run it around the base then affix to the underside of the crashbar and bolt the base of the cooler to the plate, I don;t want any breakage issues! Thanks again Steve

Here we go some pics Mocal take off plate, HEL Oil Cooler and Braided Lines. If I remember correctly its a 19 row cooler at a guess about 12 inches wide.

Will add some pics later

Scumbags hurt my car – paint advice please
SteveW replied to Mickeywheelspin's topic in 350Z General
Someone did the same to me in the gym car park, sadly no CCTV footage. The bumper was left with a hemispherical scrape mark to the top right corner and a chipped number plate. However, I later found spider web cracked paint so the bumper would need a fully respray. However, before I got that sorted a stone broke my carbon trim at the bottom and I then found the whole bumper was split in the lower left corner (probably caused by a previous owner hence the carbon trim to 'hide the damage') I'm using it as an excuse to Nismo myself when I have the cash,
