    FALKEN 452 Tyres

After quite a bit of reading I have ordered the Falken ZE912 they appear to be very good in the wet with the tread deisgn, and softer than the tyres I have on at the moment. Hopefully it will be a good choice.I could have bought anything really but most on here like the falkens, I just fancied the different tread design.
  2. Just push the pads in to get the pistons in the calipers back, then pull one of the pads out. Put in a new one then do the other. Handbrake makes no odds as that is shoes inside the drum.
  3. I emailed Carplan and asked if they knew which motorists shop stocked this near me. I got a reply from them and went to the car spares shop and got some
  4. I rubbed the edges down yesterday and the odd bubble on the spokes. Bit of grey primer then I painted them this morning. The match is perfect they just want the over spray sorting out when the paint has been left for a day. Then I may try some lacquer too. These were not too bad to start off with I also used a fine file on the bits of curbing as it does raise the alloy a bit. Then stuck a bit of Metalik in to fill any imperfections.Cost of repairs about £30 to do all 4. £5.99 Grey primer £5.99 Halfords hobby kit 12 sheets of wet and dry different grades. £6.69 Metalik paste £5.99 Lacquer probably not need this and use my turtle wax wheel protector stuff instead. £4.99 Carplan bright silver This is a superb match (Thanks trev) Got to go get the paint off the patio now before I get griped at. Going to start on my new kit tomorrow I might just use Ronseal.
  5. The halfords jack I have only just goes under the sides. It is a bit high and my car is standard.
  6. Trev the Rev recommended this. CarPlan Bright Silver, part no WBS500 I have just test sprayed one side of a ray spoke with it and it looks very close match. It needs preparing properly now as I did not rub the small bubble off. It also looks like there is a grey primer under there too. For £4.99 it might be worth you trying.

    Centre caps

£395 with the smallest repair needed.
  8. No it was not too bad and if you do not tighten the bolts up on the strut brace, you can adjust it back to exactly how it was by looking at the paint marks where the bolts on the wings go.

    Centre caps

I bought a set of Rays from Fleabay with no centres.

    Centre caps

I though V1 was the name of the standard alloys. Yes I mean the cap that says Nissan on
  11. Replaced mine this morning it took about an hour and a half. If you drop the bolt that holds the back coil in, and it vanishes without trace under the engine. Don't panic. One of the bolts that holds the engine cover on is the same size. Yes I did drop mine

  13. Welcome. Are you the guy from Sheffield by any chance that I pointed to the club
  14. Nixy Yes I used paypal. The guy has a good rating too. I have been in touch and arranged delivery for end of the week. Sunset I will see if there are caps on and let you know Thanks. I will be selling my other wheels after, they will look better with centres and tyres on I reckon.

  16. I paid yes I did not know dragonball was bidding against me or we could have sorted something. A guy called floggitright came in after this was posted on here and outbid me in the last minute. That was 2 weeks ago.
  17. I had a similar problem a long time ago on a 3.0S capri and it was the tyres. One had just worn funny, but enough to do this. Its a long shot I know.
  18. These came up for sale again and this time I got them. Looking at the pictures there are no centre caps. does anyone know if the standard alloy centres from mine will fit,or does anyone have some to sell if I need them.
  19. Will one of these be long enough ? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165469 I have one in the garage from my 200 sx days
  20. I got some from opie too Does anyone know if these need gapping,or even what it should be to check them ? Forget that its 1.1mm got it from opie site.
  21. If the passenger window switch is in lock position on the drivers arm rest. Can this cause it ? I have never tried, was just a thought.
  22. I use turtle wax wheel cleaner and turtle wax wheel restorer polish and protect afterwards and never had a problem. But now they are clean I just use an old wash mitt for cleaning, then wax now and again.
  23. I like it. No Brembos this time ? I wonder what the Nissan brakes will be like.
